Islip, Bay Shore, Great River, West Sayville, and Ronkonkoma are one south-shore practice corridor, with Holbrook and West Islip on the edges. The outdoor pages that name a place to hit balls are Timber Point, West Sayville, and Holbrook Country Club. The indoor rates are in Bay Shore, West Islip, and Holbrook. This page uses each operator's own site, the Suffolk County golf index, and the county course pages, checked November 1, 2026. Golf on Long Island's February 3, 2026 indoor list is used only where a venue page is silent on the launch monitor. If a dollar figure or a clock time is missing, or two official lines disagree, call.

The county lists are the Suffolk driving range guide and the Suffolk simulator guide. Every indoor room in the directory is on the simulator guide. Filter the outdoor set on the directory. Lake Grove, Nesconset, and Hauppauge are the next stops north. Those pages are in the Smithtown and Hauppauge guide. Edgewood and Melville are the next stops west, in the Huntington guide.

Timber Point

Timber Point lists 398 Great River Road, Great River, NY 11739, and pro shop (631) 581-2401. The email on the homepage is timberpointgolfcourse@yahoo.com. The homepage says the pro shop and the driving range are open all seven days, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It also prints "Twilight Rate: 11:00 AM" on that same line.

The Sunday, November 1 notice on that page lists 18 holes, Red to Blue, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 9 holes, White, 12:10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The 12:10 a.m. start is before the 8:00 a.m. open printed under it. Call (631) 581-2401 before you treat 12:10 a.m. as a real first tee.

The mobile fees page lists the driving range on its own rows:

  • Half bucket, 35 balls, $7.00.
  • Full bucket, 70 balls, $14.00.
  • "Foursome," 4 half buckets, 140 balls, $24.00.
  • Member card, 20 half buckets, $100.00. The page says that card saves $40.

The twilight column on that fees table says "Twilight (After 2 PM)." The homepage says the twilight rate is 11:00 a.m. Those two lines do not name the same clock. Call and ask which twilight applies to a bucket, and which one applies to a green fee.

The Green Key asterisk on the fees page sits on the green-fee rows. The note under those rows says a valid Suffolk County Green Key is required. The driving-range rows are below that note. The page does not repeat the asterisk on the bucket prices. Call before you assume a range ball needs the card.

The instruction page says the practice facility has 35 hitting stations, a pitching and bunker area, and a large practice putting green. It does not say the stations are grass, mats, heated, covered, or lighted. It does not say whether a driver is allowed. Call.

That instruction page still says Ed Sallie is director of instruction "once again for the 2018 season," and it still prints lesson prices, including a half-hour adult lesson at $60 and a 40-token practice plan at $140. The phone it prints for him is (631) 478-3126. Treat those dollars as figures to confirm. The full menu is in the lessons guide. Call the pro shop before you pay them.

What the county page adds

The county course page lists the same pro shop phone, PGA professional Andy Carracino, a putting green, a pro shop, and a driving range. It prints GREEN KEY REQUIRED beside the phone. Hours of operation on that page are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Those hours are wider than the 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. range line on the course homepage. Call and ask which clock is the range.

The county page does not print 398 Great River Road. Directions say Southern State Parkway to Exit 46, then right on Timber Point Road to the entrance. The mailing address at the bottom is P.O. Box 144, West Sayville, NY 11796, and the parks phone is (631) 854-4949. Use the pro shop number for the range. The same page lists Timber Point Country Club, a restaurant and catering room hosted by Lessing's, at (631) 581-0022. That number is not the range.

The county golf index says each of the four county courses has a driving range, and that tee times use a Green Key Card. It says the Timber Point pro shop is open March through December, weather permitting. November 1 is inside that window, and the course homepage showed the range that day. The index does not say the range is heated.

West Sayville

West Sayville's range page is the RC Links page for the county course. It lists 200 Montauk Highway, West Sayville, NY 11796, (631) 567-1704, and rclinksgolf@gmail.com.

The page says the driving range is open 7 days a week, weather permitting. Range balls may be purchased at the range machine with a credit card once the pro shop is closed. The night range is open until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday the range closes at 5 p.m. for weekly maintenance. The page does not say the range is lighted, heated, covered, or grass. A stall count is not on the page. It does not say whether a driver is allowed. Call.

Prices on that page:

  • One token, 51 balls, $8.
  • 20-token card, $125.
  • 32-token card, $200.
  • Unlimited for the season, family $1,000, individual $700.

The page does not say which dates "the season" covers. November 1 may or may not be inside it. Call before you buy the unlimited card.

Pro shop hours on the same page are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All hours are weather permitting. The night range runs later than the pro shop on Monday through Saturday. The page says the machine takes a credit card after the shop closes. It does not print the machine's own open and close. Call.

The homepage says to use the Suffolk County Green Key system to book a tee time, up to 7 days ahead. That sentence is about a tee time. The range page does not say a token needs a Green Key. The instruction page on the same site says to come learn from PGA professionals and does not print a lesson price. Call (631) 567-1704.

A 2022 file that is still on the site

A PDF at westsayvillegolf.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Tokens.pdf says "Driving Range Now Lighted!" and says the range is open Monday through Saturday until 9 p.m. It also lists token specials, including 4 tokens for $21. The current range page does not say lighted, prints a 7 p.m. close, and prints an $8 token. The file path says 2022. Use the range page, then call before you count on lights or a 9 p.m. close.

What the county page adds

The county course page lists the same pro shop phone, PGA professional Robert Callioras, a putting green, and a driving range. It prints GREEN KEY REQUIRED beside the phone. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Saturday and Sunday open is an hour earlier than the operator's pro shop hours, and the weekday close is an hour later than the pro shop and an hour earlier than the night range. Call.

Directions on the county page are Sunrise Highway east to Exit 46, then about three miles east on the south side of Montauk Highway. The page does not print 200 Montauk Highway. The mailing address is the same West Sayville post office box as Timber Point. Meadow Edge restaurant, also hosted by Lessing's, is listed at (631) 581-0022. Use the pro shop for the range.

The county index says this pro shop is open March through December, weather permitting. The range page did not say the range was closed on November 1.

Holbrook Country Club

Holbrook Country Club lists 700 Patchogue-Holbrook Road, Holbrook, NY 11741, and (631) 467-3417. The homepage calls it a public golf course, opened in 1992, with a driving range and a practice green, one mile south of Long Island Expressway exit 61. Head golf professional on that page is Bill LePosa, PGA. A stall count, heat, a roof, lights, and grass tees are not on the pages checked. It does not say whether a driver is allowed. Call.

Hours on the homepage are split by season.

Summer, Memorial Day to Labor Day:

  • Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Driving range, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

Spring and fall:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Driving range, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

November 1 is after Labor Day, so the spring and fall block is the one that names the current part of the year. The summer block does not say closed on Tuesdays. The spring and fall block does. The Brentwood reservation page says Holbrook is closed on Tuesdays and does not limit that line to spring and fall. Call (631) 467-3417 before a Tuesday, and before a day in December. The Holbrook page does not print a winter block.

The range line in spring and fall runs to 6 p.m. The course line that season ends at 4 p.m. The page does not say the range stays open after the course closes. Call.

The rates page lists a bucket at $7. That line does not say how many balls. The same page lists green fees, each with a $4 reservation fee. The text retrieved on November 1 did not keep a label on each of those green-fee amounts, so this guide does not repeat them. Call for the green fee and for the ball count. Gift certificates on that page are at Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip, (631) 224-5403.

The lessons page lists private lessons at $60 per half hour. Shannon Fox, LPGA, is at (631) 456-1715. Rob Callahan, the junior golf coordinator, is at (516) 695-1464. The homepage says junior golf is continuous enrollment and to contact them for rates. The lessons page does not print a junior price. The county lessons guide does not repeat this card. Call.

The other courses page is titled "Other Town of Islip Golf Courses" and lists Brentwood and Gull Haven. There is no separate Town of Islip golf-rates page in this check. The Brentwood reservation page ends with "Thank You Town of Islip Parks and Recreation."

Golf Galaxy Bay Shore

The Bay Shore store page, checked November 1, 2026, lists 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore Mall, Suite B, Bay Shore, NY 11706, and (631) 892-8242. It says TrackMan is used for club fitting, and it offers simulator rental with more than 100 courses. It does not print a bay count. The store-hours block on that page had a heading for each day and did not print a clock time. A PGA.org facility page lists (631) 891-8242 for this store. Use the store-page number, then call.

The chain simulator-rental page lists 30 minutes at $29.99 and 60 minutes at $49.99. Packs of 60-minute rentals are $119.99 for 3, $199.99 for 6, and $299.99 for 10. That page does not say the figures are Bay Shore-only. It also says 25% off simulator packages, limit 2 per customer, in-store only through October 31, 2026, subject to bay availability. November 1 is after that printed end date, and the line was still on the page. Call (631) 892-8242 and ask what the Bay Shore bay costs, how many people can stand in it, and whether that discount is still on the receipt.

The store page does not describe a bar or a kitchen. It offers lesson packages with PGA and LPGA professionals and associates, and it does not print a lesson price. The chain lesson figures, and the warning that they are not Bay Shore-only, are in the lessons guide. Youth On Course members, on the chain rental page, can bring up to three additional non-members into the bay for $24.99. The page says to ask in the store.

An October 22 TrackMan Indoor Golf Day note is still on the store page. That date has passed. The Suffolk simulator guide has the October 26 reading of the same pages.

Unique Golf

Unique Golf lists 356 Union Blvd, West Islip, NY 11795. The store heading on that page prints (631) 422-6431. Store hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The page does not say those hours are the bay hours.

The fitting section describes a Foresight Falcon. A 4-lesson package is $199.99 and is described as a plan from lesson 1 to lesson 4. The shop page does not print an hourly rental rate. The page HTML checked November 1, 2026 did not include a link to a booking tool.

The booking page is the same URL the simulator pricing guide used on October 22, 2026. The account name in that URL is uniquegolfshop. The page says the hour rental is $50 per session, the maximum is 2 players, and anyone under 16 must be with an adult. It listed Monday, November 2, 2026 sessions at $50.00, from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. It does not name the launch monitor. It says the simulators are for individuals or groups of 2. It does not print how many bays are in the shop. Call (631) 422-6431 and ask whether that $50 session is the bay at 356 Union Blvd, and whether the Falcon in the fitting section is the unit in the rental bay.

The February 3, 2026 list says the shop simulators use Foresight. The shop page's Falcon line is the fitting section. The booking page does not repeat the brand. The West Islip town page lists this shop. Bay Shore is the next town east in the directory.

24/7 Golf Academy

24/7 Golf Academy lists 920 Lincoln Ave, Suite 4, Holbrook, NY 11741, (631) 319-1075, and info@247golfacademy.com. The same address is the Holbrook town as the country club. They are different businesses. The club is the outdoor range. This room is the Trackman rental.

The homepage and the Trackman rentals page both list:

  • $50 an hour.
  • 10 hours, $450.
  • 20 hours, $800.

The homepage says 4 players maximum per bay. The rentals page does not repeat that cap. Both pages say open 7 days a week. Neither prints a daily open and close for a public rental. Call (631) 319-1075 and ask what time a non-member can book.

The membership page says a new member must take at least one intro lesson before access. It says simulators are available to book online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. That line is under the memberships. It does not say a $50 public rental is available at 2 a.m. Call.

  • Birdie, September 1 through May 1: $299 a month. Ten 1-hour sessions a month. Guests are $10 an hour. Additional rentals are printed as 50% off, at $25 an hour. Month to month.
  • Eagle, September 1 through May 1: $399 a month. Sixteen 1-hour sessions a month. No guest fee for up to 3 guests a session. Additional rentals are printed as 50% off, at $25 an hour. The page spells the month "Septemeber." The program is limited to the first 10 members who register. A credit card stays on file.
  • Summer, May 1 through August 31: $99 a month. Five 1-hour sessions a month. The page says 25% off additional rentals and also prints $30 an hour. A 25% discount on the $50 rental is not $30. Call and ask which number is on the bill.

November 1 falls inside the September 1 through May 1 window. Call to confirm a plan is still being sold.

Lesson prices on the homepage, separate from the bay:

  • Intro lesson, 45 minutes, $75.
  • Single lesson, 1 hour, $150.
  • 5-pack, $650, described as a 10-week program.
  • 10-pack, $1,200, described as a 20-week program.
  • 20-pack, $2,000, described as a 36-week program.

Club fitting is $100 for an hour, with a $50 credit toward a purchase. Regripping is $5 a club, grip not included. The homepage also lists a "Sayville Golf Winter Training" 12-week program and does not print a price or a second address. Call before you treat that program as a bay at the Sayville course.

The homepage says winter-league registration is closed. The format on that page is a 2-versus-2 9-hole scramble, a 6-match season played over 8 weeks, maximum 30 teams. It does not print a fee or a start date. Other winter leagues that do print a fee are in the winter leagues guide. This page did not add 24/7 to that guide.

A bay count is not on these pages. The site does not describe a bar or a kitchen. It does not say the room is heated. It is an indoor Trackman rental. Call for the count.

Ronkonkoma, and it is not open

Station Yards is Island Greens' Ronkonkoma page. It says bookings open soon. The email form says one email a month until the room opens in 2027. The address on that page is 9 Hawkins Avenue, Unit #3104, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. The phone is (631) 676-8085. The email is sy@islandgreensny.com.

The page says TrackMan, more than 40 data points, and 550 courses, including Pebble Beach and St Andrews. It says the doors will be open 5 a.m. to midnight every day, and that members will get a code for 5 a.m. to noon. It says there is never a guest fee. It does not print a bay count, an hourly rate, or a membership price. Those sentences are about a room that is not open. It is not a listing in this directory. There is no Ronkonkoma town page. The operator's open room is Island Greens in Franklin Square, which is a different trip. That room is in the Nassau simulator guide.

Not a public bucket stop

Gull Haven lists 1 Gullhaven Dr, Central Islip, NY 11722-4644, and (631) 436-6059. The homepage calls it a Town of Islip 9-hole executive course and says the course is open. October hours on that page are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days, weather permitting, with reservations required and no walk-ups. A lower block on the same page lists summer 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., fall 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and December through February 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Checked November 1, 2026, the homepage does not describe a driving range or a bucket. A Town of Islip parks sheet for the course lists a pro shop, carts, reservations, and lessons, and it does not list a driving range. There is no Central Islip town page. It is not a listing in this directory. Call (631) 436-6059 if you want to know whether you can hit balls there.

Jones Golf Academy's booking page, checked the same day, says private lessons are outdoors at Gull Haven, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and it prints the 2026 season as May 1 through October 31. The page also still shows a "Season Active" line with that same end date. November 1 is after October 31. The lesson prices and the 1 Gull Haven Drive spelling are in the lessons guide. Call (631) 655-2233 before you book a lesson after the printed end date. A lesson outdoors is not a public bucket.

Brentwood Country Club lists 100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Brentwood, NY 11717, and (631) 436-6060. The homepage says the course is open for the season. It describes a teaching studio with a launch monitor, computer and video analysis, and a putting green. The lessons page calls Doug Jansen's studio an outdoor golf studio and does not mention a launch monitor or a price. The two pages do not match. Neither page describes a driving range or a public hourly simulator. The reservation page says Brentwood is closed on Mondays. The homepage says closed Mondays in spring and fall, and open Mondays from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call before a Monday. There is no Brentwood town page. It is not a listing in this directory.

What to book

For a published outdoor bucket with a ball count, Timber Point is the $7 half bucket in Great River, and West Sayville is the $8 token. Holbrook is the $7 bucket next to Ronkonkoma, and the ball count is a phone call. None of the three range pages says the bays are heated. None of them says irons only, and none of them says a driver is allowed. Call before you bring a driver.

The clocks do not agree, so call before you go. Timber Point's homepage, its fees table, and the county course page name three different hours. West Sayville's range page, the county course page, and a 2022 PDF on the operator's site name three different closes. Holbrook's spring and fall range line runs later than the course line, and the Tuesday close is not written the same way on the Brentwood reservation page.

For a screen this week, 24/7 Golf Academy is the $50 Trackman hour in Holbrook, and the membership page is the one that says 24-hour booking. Unique Golf's booking page is the $50 session with a 2-player cap, and the shop homepage does not link it. Golf Galaxy is the Bay Shore Mall rental, and the chain price is not printed as a Bay Shore price. Station Yards is the Ronkonkoma address, and the operator says 2027.

Golf Lounge 18 in Lake Grove is the published Trackman bay north of Ronkonkoma, at Smith Haven Mall. This page did not reopen that rate card. The November 1 check is in the Smithtown and Hauppauge guide. Topgolf Holtsville is the heated Toptracer range east of Ronkonkoma. This page did not reopen that site. The heated outdoor bays are in the heated driving range guide. Heartland Golf Park in Edgewood is the heated 92-stall range west of Bay Shore. That page is in the Huntington guide.

A fitting at Golf Galaxy, Unique Golf, 24/7 Golf Academy, or the Holbrook lesson tee is separate from a bucket or a bay. If the numbers say the clubs should go, GlobalGolf's club page is the trade-in and club shop linked from this site. Some of the links in that shop are affiliate links. If you buy through them, LISwing may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Read the affiliate disclosure. GlobalGolf sells clubs. It does not book these ranges or these bays. Outdoor days that need rain gear are on the gear page. LISwing's GolfNow link is not live, so this page does not add one.

Published hourly rates for rooms outside this corridor are in the simulator pricing guide. A simulator at home is a different purchase. Ceiling height and the component prices we could verify are in the home simulator setup guide. How a fact gets onto a venue page is in how LISwing checks a venue.

Questions

Which driving ranges are near Islip, Bay Shore, and Ronkonkoma, NY?

Three outdoor ranges in this corridor have a current operator page. Timber Point in Great River lists a driving range and a half bucket at $7 for 35 balls. West Sayville lists a token at $8 for 51 balls. Holbrook Country Club lists a driving range and a bucket at $7, and does not say how many balls. Gull Haven in Central Islip and Brentwood Country Club do not describe a public driving range on the pages checked November 1, 2026. Heated bays, stall counts, and hours that disagree say call to confirm.

Do I need a Suffolk Green Key to hit balls at Timber Point or West Sayville?

Suffolk County says tee times use a Green Key, and the Timber Point and West Sayville course pages print GREEN KEY REQUIRED next to the pro shop phone. Timber Point's fees page puts the Green Key asterisk on green fees, not on the driving-range rows. West Sayville's range page says balls can be bought at the range machine with a credit card after the pro shop closes, and it does not mention a Green Key for a token. Holbrook's pages checked that day do not mention a Green Key. Call the pro shop before you assume a bucket needs the card.

How much is a golf simulator near Bay Shore, West Islip, or Holbrook?

On November 1, 2026, 24/7 Golf Academy in Holbrook listed Trackman rentals at $50 an hour, and the homepage says 4 players maximum per bay. Unique Golf's booking page listed a session at $50, maximum 2 players, and the shop homepage did not link that page. Golf Galaxy's chain rental page listed $29.99 for 30 minutes and $49.99 for 60 minutes and does not say those figures are Bay Shore-only. The Bay Shore store page did not print hours. Station Yards in Ronkonkoma says bookings are not open and the room opens in 2027.

Where can I hit balls near Islip when it is cold?

Timber Point, West Sayville, and Holbrook do not say their ranges are heated. The county says the Timber Point and West Sayville pro shops are open March through December, weather permitting, and both course sites showed a range on November 1. Holbrook's page does not name a winter schedule. The indoor rooms with a published session price are 24/7 Golf Academy, the Unique Golf booking page, and the Golf Galaxy chain rental page. Topgolf Holtsville is the heated Toptracer range east of Ronkonkoma. Heartland in Edgewood is the heated outdoor range west of Bay Shore. Call before you treat an outdoor range as open tonight.

Is there a golf simulator in Ronkonkoma?

Island Greens' Station Yards page lists 9 Hawkins Avenue, Unit 3104, Ronkonkoma, and says bookings open soon and the room opens in 2027. It is not a listing in this directory. There is no Ronkonkoma town page. The open indoor rooms nearest that address with a published price are 24/7 Golf Academy in Holbrook and Golf Lounge 18 in Lake Grove. The Lake Grove check is in the Smithtown and Hauppauge guide.
