Huntington village, Melville, Dix Hills, and Commack are one practice corridor. The Town of Huntington runs courses at Dix Hills Park and Crab Meadow. Melville and Commack are where the published indoor rates are. This page uses each operator's own site, the town pages, and the New York State Parks Sunken Meadow page, checked October 29, 2026. Golf on Long Island's February 3, 2026 indoor list is used only where a venue page is silent on a bay count. If a dollar figure or a clock time is missing, or two official lines disagree, call.
The county lists are the Suffolk driving range guide and the Suffolk simulator guide. Every indoor room in the directory is on the simulator guide. Filter the outdoor set on the directory.

The homepage says an irons-only driving range and a practice putting green are available to warm up. The Town of Huntington golf-courses page says the same thing, at the same address and phone.
The instruction page says the practice facilities "feature a full range, as well as putting and chipping greens." That sentence is the same one on the Crab Meadow lessons page. The homepage and the town golf page are the pages that say irons only. Call (631) 499-8005 before you bring a driver.
The rates page lists 9-hole green fees, carts, footgolf, and rental clubs for 9 holes at $15. It does not list a bucket price, a stall count, or range hours. Heated, covered, and grass tees are not stated. Call for those.
The town's adult golf page calls this a practice range and does not repeat "irons only." Use the homepage and the golf-courses page for the irons line, then call.
Crab Meadow
Crab Meadow is the Town of Huntington's 18-hole course. The golf-courses page lists 220 Waterside Road, Northport, NY 11768, (631) 757-8800, and info@crabmeadow.com. It says Dietz Golf Corp. manages the course. That page does not mention a driving range.
Two other official pages do. The town adult golf page says Crab Meadow has a driving range and a putting green, and it calls the street Waterside Avenue. The course contact page lists 220 Waterside Road, Fort Salonga, NY 11768, and the same phone. Use Waterside Road. The Avenue line is the older town page. Call if a map pin disagrees.
Hours on the contact page
The contact page lists every day at 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Monday line is the only line that adds "Driving range closes at 5:30 p.m." A separate line says hours may vary with weather conditions. A bucket price, a stall count, and heated, covered, or grass tees were not on the town pages or the contact page. Call.

It describes a 92-stall, two-tier range, an automatic tee, ground-level and elevated booths, and targets it calls water, bunkers, and hills. Balls you pay for and do not hit stay on the card. The page says the range is heated and opened during the winter. It also says the range is open all day and night and to call for seasonal hours. A line on the same page says open seven days, 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Call (631) 667-7400 before you treat 11 p.m. as tonight's close, especially in winter. It says to ask about kids-party rates. It does not print those rates. The range page says the park is next to the Long Island Rail Road and describes a 52-minute ride from New York City. It does not name the station.

Membership is $8 a month. The page says it is not required, that it waives guest fees, and that it covers Melville, Smithtown, and New Hyde Park. An announcement on the same page says construction has delayed New Hyde Park and that the club is not open. It does not print an opening date. Call before you treat the $8 fee as access to New Hyde Park.
Hours on the Melville page: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The page describes a social lounge where you can grab a refreshment. It does not describe a full bar or print a food menu. The February 3, 2026 list says these venues include a putting area. The Melville page does not. Call.

The golf prices match Melville. Weekday hours there run to 10:00 p.m., not 11:00 p.m. Weekend hours match. That room is Pickle N Par Smithtown in Nesconset. - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The tool's email is geoff@xgolfcommack.com. The location page's email is info@xgolfcommack.com. The phone and the street address match. Call before you drive for a late night or an early Thursday.

Lessons start at $79.99 for adults. Studio fittings start at $99.99. The page does not say how long those starting prices cover. Call.
The practice-bay booking tool HTML did not include a Commack session price on October 29, 2026. The chain practice-center page says most locations use Trackman, that select locations have Practice + Play bays where up to three friends can play virtual rounds on more than 75 courses, and that a 60-minute practice session starts at $29.99. The same page says pricing may vary by location. The February 3, 2026 list describes six Commack bays with Practice + Play and Trackman. The store page does not repeat that. Call (631) 980-8148 and ask what the booked session includes, and which launch monitor is in it.
The store page does not describe a bar or a kitchen. The chain page says to bring your own clubs. It does not print a Commack rental-club price. Call.
The store's about text names "the public Commack Golf Park" alongside Sunken Meadow and Stonebridge. A search on October 29, 2026 did not find an operator page for a Commack Golf Park. It is not a listing here. Call the store if you need that name explained.

East of Commack, with a printed bucket price
Sunken Meadow in Kings Park is the state-park range past Commack. The parks page, checked October 29, 2026, says the driving range operates all year, weather permitting. The driving-range prices on that page are $9 for a 51-ball bucket and $6 for juniors. General information is (631) 269-5351. The pro shop, which the page says to call for lessons, is (631) 544-0036. The page does not say the range is heated or covered.
Not a public bucket stop
The Greens at Half Hollow lists One Altessa Boulevard, Melville, NY 11747, and (631) 271-4500. What to book
Bring a driver to Heartland or to Sunken Meadow if you want a published outdoor bucket and a page that does not say irons only. Dix Hills is the town range in Dix Hills, and the driver question is a phone call. Crab Meadow is the town range on the North Shore, and the bucket price is a phone call.
For a screen, Pickle N Par is the $50 bay on Route 110 in Melville, open until 11 p.m. on the weekday hours it prints. X-Golf is the Commack room that prints a bar, food, and nine bays, with a weekend rate you should confirm. The Superstore is the Jericho Turnpike practice bay inside a store that closes at 8 p.m. The Huntington village address is a lesson center, and the page does not sell a public hourly round.
A fitting at Crab Meadow, X-Golf, the Superstore, or GOLFTEC is separate from a bucket or a bay. If the numbers say the clubs should go, GlobalGolf's club page is the trade-in and club shop linked from this site. Some of the links in that shop are affiliate links. If you buy through them, LISwing may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Read the affiliate disclosure. GlobalGolf sells clubs. It does not book these ranges or these bays. Outdoor days that need rain gear are on the gear page. LISwing's GolfNow link is not live, so this page does not add one.
Published hourly rates for rooms outside this corridor are in the simulator pricing guide. A simulator at home is a different purchase. Ceiling height and the component prices we could verify are in the home simulator setup guide. How a fact gets onto a venue page is in how LISwing checks a venue.
