Smithtown, Hauppauge, Nesconset, Kings Park, and Lake Grove are one practice corridor, with Commack on the west edge. The outdoor pages that name a place to hit balls are Smithtown Landing, Wind Watch, and Sunken Meadow. The indoor rates are in Nesconset, Hauppauge, Lake Grove, and Commack. This page uses each operator's own site, the Town of Smithtown golf page, and the New York State Parks Sunken Meadow page, checked November 1, 2026. Golf on Long Island's February 3, 2026 indoor list is used only where a venue page is silent on a bay count. If a dollar figure or a clock time is missing, or two official lines disagree, call.

The county lists are the Suffolk driving range guide and the Suffolk simulator guide. Every indoor room in the directory is on the simulator guide. Filter the outdoor set on the directory. Dix Hills, Crab Meadow, Heartland, and the Melville bay are the next stops west. Those pages are in the Huntington guide.

Smithtown Landing

Smithtown Landing Country Club lists 495 Landing Avenue, Smithtown, NY 11787, and (631) 979-6534. The homepage says the 18-hole municipal course is open to the general public. It lists an irons driving range, a 6,000-square-foot putting green and a 3,500-square-foot putting green with short-game areas around them, a practice sand trap, and a swing-plane practice area. A building next to the range houses a mirror-lined video review room. The same page names a 9-hole par-3 called The Learning Links.

The Town of Smithtown golf page sends tee times and other questions to the pro shop at the same phone and street. Its fax is (631) 360-1413. The club site's fax is (631) 406-7226. The town recreation department at that address is (631) 360-7644, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Use the pro shop number for the range. The town golf page does not repeat the irons line. The homepage does.

The homepage's days are for the 18-hole course: Tuesday through Sunday, May 1 through October 31, plus holiday Mondays, and seven days a week from November 1 through April 30. It does not say those are range hours. A stall count, heat, a roof, lights, and grass tees are not on the homepage or the rates page. Call (631) 979-6534 for today's open, and call before you bring a driver.

The token, and who can play

The rates page lists the driving range at $7 per token, 40 to 45 balls. It says all prices are subject to a credit card processing fee. It does not split the token into resident and non-resident prices.

The same page says resident, senior, and junior rates require a Smithtown resident card from the permit office on site. Those rows are green fees. Senior and junior green fees are only Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The town permit page says a resident card is required for discounted rates at the golf course and that the card is valid for 2 years. It does not mention a range token.

The course page says the course is open to non-residents during the week, and that on holidays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays a non-resident must be with a Smithtown resident who has a Resident ID card. That paragraph is about the course. It does not say the rule applies to a range token. Call before a weekend bucket if you do not live in Smithtown.

Par-3 green fees are a separate table on the rates page, from $15 to $21 depending on the row. The token is not that green fee. Reservations on the rates page are 7 days ahead for a $4 per person fee, with a 24-hour cancellation policy. The page does not say a range token needs a reservation.

Lessons on the club page

The lessons page lists Michael Hebron, PGA Master Professional, and these prices:

  • $145 for 60 minutes. $110 for 45 minutes. $75 for 30 minutes.
  • Junior 30 minutes, $40, ages 11 and under, weekdays only.
  • Five one-hour lessons, $600.
  • Ten one-hour lessons, $1,200, to be used within 12 months.

Staff professionals on that page are Henry Kilroy, PGA, head golf professional, Maureen Fisher, PGA, Valerie Flora, LPGA, Eric Kurke, PGA, and Paige Diecidue, printed there as LGPA. Staff rates are $60 a half hour, $120 an hour, and a package series at $300, described as 6 lessons for the price of 5. The county lessons guide has the same card. The page does not print a range-ball price. The token is on the rates page.

Wind Watch

Wind Watch is the practice facility in Hauppauge, at 1715 Motor Pkwy, Hauppauge, NY 11788, (631) 232-9850.

The about page calls it Hamlet Wind Watch Golf & Country Club, a semi-private Hauppauge club open to the general public, and a daily-fee course. It describes an 11-acre grass and artificial turf practice facility. The golf page describes a short-game facility with five real target greens, three of them in play, a bunker, a chipping area, and four practice greens. That page does not use the words driving range. The hours page does. It says the driving range may be closed on Mondays during the summer, and to contact the pro shop for daily availability. A bucket price, a stall count, heat, a roof, and lights are not on those pages. Call (631) 232-9850 before you bring a driver, and before you assume a non-member can buy a bucket.

The hours page says hours can change for weather, holidays, and private events. Under dining it lists a building close: Monday and Tuesday at 5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 6 p.m. Tuesday's grill line is printed "Season Grill." The other days say "Seasons Grill." The page does not say the range stays open until the building closes. Call.

The membership page says a practice membership includes 7-day access to the practice facility from approximately April through October, that the natural grass tee opens at the golf shop's discretion based on weather and use, that grass tees are typically Friday through Sunday, and that 50 practice memberships are sold a year. It does not print a membership price. That April-to-October line is a membership benefit. It does not say the facility is closed in November. Call.

The golf page says one-on-one lessons and clinics can be scheduled. It does not print a lesson price. Austin Holloway is named there as general manager, at Austin.Holloway@invitedclubs.com. The page does not say he is the teacher.

Sunken Meadow

Sunken Meadow in Kings Park is the state-park range north of Smithtown. The parks page, checked November 1, 2026, says the driving range operates all year, weather permitting. The driving-range prices on that page are $9 for a 51-ball bucket and $6 for juniors. General information is (631) 269-5351. The pro shop, which the page says to call for lessons, is (631) 544-0036. A restaurant number on the same page is (631) 261-2726. The page still says the first tee is 6:42 a.m. as of April 14. That line is for the course. Call for today's range open. The page does not say the range is heated or covered. The address on the page is Box 716, Route 25A, Sunken Meadow Parkway, Kings Park, NY 11754.

The same bucket prices were on this page on October 29, 2026. That earlier check is in the Huntington guide.

Pickle N Par Smithtown

Pickle N Par's Smithtown page titles the club Smithtown and lists a Nesconset address: 62 Lake Ave S, Nesconset, NY 11767, (631) 382-7425, two miles north of Exit 58 on the Long Island Expressway. The room in the directory is Pickle N Par Smithtown in Nesconset. Smithtown Landing is the municipal course, a different listing.

The page says 9 indoor pickleball courts and Full Swing golf simulators, more than 85 courses, in a climate-controlled facility. It does not print how many golf bays are in the room. It does not say the bays are heated. Call for the count.

You do not need a membership to play. The page says everyone needs a Court Reserve profile, member or free non-member, and a signed waiver.

Golf prices on that page:

  • Simulator bay, $50 an hour, per bay, for the group. A $5 an hour guest fee for non-members.
  • 6-hour anytime package, $240 for members and $260 for non-members.
  • 12-hour anytime package, $420 for members and $460 for non-members.

A separate non-member block on the same page says the guest fee is $5 a visit, and it talks about court reservations made 5 days ahead. The golf line says $5 an hour. Membership is $8 a month. The page says it is not required, that it waives guest fees, and that it covers New Hyde Park, Melville, and Smithtown. The member block says courts can be reserved 15 days ahead. The golf block does not repeat the 5-day or 15-day windows. Call (631) 382-7425 and ask which guest fee is added to a golf bay, and which booking window the bay uses.

An announcement on the same page says construction has delayed New Hyde Park and that the club is not open. It does not print an opening date. Call before you treat the $8 fee as access to New Hyde Park.

Hours in the visit section: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A block in the page source lists opening hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Use the visit section, then call.

The page describes a social lounge where you can grab a refreshment. It does not describe a full bar or print a food menu. The February 3, 2026 list says these venues include a putting area. The Smithtown page does not. Call. A lesson form on the page says General Manager Andrew Ritter will match you with an instructor. It does not print a lesson price.

The Melville room, on Route 110, has the same $50 bay and a later weekday close. That page is in the Huntington guide.

The Experience

The Experience in Hauppauge is the indoor room on Commerce Drive. Use the Hauppauge footer: 180 Commerce Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788, (631) 617-6363, and info@theexperiencenyli.com. A header on the same pages still shows 27 Division Street, New York, NY 10002, plus placeholder phone numbers and emails. That header is not the room.

The Sim Alley page describes golf simulators and multi-sport simulators, including football, baseball, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and party games. A counter on that page showed 0 golf simulators and 0 courses on November 1, 2026. Treat that as a counter that did not load. The page does not name the launch monitor. The February 3, 2026 list says this room was formerly Simplay and has six golf and multisport simulators. Call and ask what is in the bay.

The rate is per hour. A $15 charge reserves the simulator. The page says the total is then prorated from the time you are set up on a bay until you check out. The deposit is forfeited for a cancellation within 24 hours.

  • Off-peak, $55 an hour, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Peak, $65 an hour, Monday through Friday after 5:00 p.m., all day Saturday and Sunday, and holidays.

The same page says half-price Mondays until 5:00 p.m. Suites are not included. Holidays are not included. Those reservations must be made online. It also says military personnel receive 20 percent off, and police, fire, EMT, and health-care workers receive 10 percent off. A referral is $15 toward the check. The page does not say whether those discounts stack with the half-price Monday.

Hours on the homepage and the Sim Alley page:

  • Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Monday's open is 5:00 p.m. The off-peak window and the half-price-until-5:00 p.m. line both end at 5:00 p.m. They do not overlap the Monday hours printed under them. Call (631) 617-6363 before you book a Monday morning or count on half off. The kitchen opens at 12:00 p.m. The page does not say Monday food starts at 5:00 p.m. Call.

The leagues page, checked the same day, lists a Wednesday night winter league at $225 per player, teams of 6, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., starting January 6, 2027, 9-hole match play, 6 weeks plus 2 weeks of playoffs. The heading includes the letters HS and does not spell them out. A Thursday 9-hole scramble is $35 per player, paid at the door, 2-person teams, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with no end date on the page. It says to call Mike Johnson at (315) 542-2943. The longer writeup is in the winter leagues guide. Party notes for this room are in the party and corporate guide.

Golf Lounge 18

The Lake Grove reservations page lists Trackman bays at 619 Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove, NY 11755, (631) 366-8156, and info@golflounge18.com. The rate on that page is per hour, per bay.

  • Early bird, Monday through Thursday from open until 4:00 p.m., except holidays: $40.
  • Off-peak, Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to close, and Friday from open until 4:00 p.m., except holidays: $55.
  • Peak, Friday from 4:00 p.m. to close, all day Saturday and Sunday, and all day on the holidays named on that page: $70.

Those holidays are New Year's Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veterans Day, and December 26 through January 1.

The company FAQ says you are charged per hour, not per player, for up to 5 people in a bay. It also says Monday through Thursday is $45 an hour and Friday through Sunday is $60, and it tells you to use the location page for the rate. The two pages disagree. Call (631) 366-8156 if the cart does not match the Lake Grove page.

The FAQ says the company locations have a full bar and food, including craft and domestic beer, cocktails, wraps, burgers, wings, and desserts. It says spiked shoes are not allowed. It says to bring your own clubs, and that limited left-handed rental sets exist. It does not print a rental price. It says a twosome usually needs 1.5 hours for 18 holes and a foursome usually needs 3 hours. It says there are more than 450 courses. The February 3, 2026 list describes 11 simulators at Lake Grove. The Lake Grove page does not print a bay count. Call.

Hours printed with the Lake Grove address are Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The reservations page says members can book 21 days ahead and non-members 7 days, and that walk-ins are welcome. A membership price is not on those pages. Call.

On November 1, 2026, that reservations page still said all Connecticut and New York locations would be closed the entire next day for a storm. The line does not name the date. It was also on the page on October 26, 2026. Treat it as an undated banner, not as a standing close. Check the page or call before you go.

The company leagues page is covered in the winter leagues guide. This page did not reopen it.

X-Golf Commack

X-Golf Commack lists nine simulator bays at 108 Veterans Memorial Highway, Suite A, Commack, NY 11725, (631) 486-4417, and info@xgolfcommack.com. The rate is per simulator, per hour, for up to 6 people. Commack is the west edge of this corridor. The same town's other directory room is PGA Tour Superstore Commack.

  • Monday through Thursday before 4:00 p.m.: $59 an hour, or $39 a half hour.
  • Monday through Thursday after 4:00 p.m.: $69 an hour, or $47 a half hour.
  • Friday through Sunday: $85 an hour, or $54 a half hour.

A line above the hours says "Fall Specials! Fri-Sunday $75/hr all weekend!" The page says bookings at 90, 150, and 210 minutes combine the one-hour and half-hour rates. It recommends 45 minutes per golfer for 18 holes. The FAQ on the same page says one player generally needs about an hour for 18 holes, and that each added player can add about an hour. Ask which pace to book.

Hours on the location page:

  • Monday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to midnight.
  • Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The booking tool linked from that page prints different hours: Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. On November 1, 2026, a Sunday, that tool listed Sunday simulator rentals at $75, including a 9:00 a.m. start. That dollar figure matches the fall line, not the $85 table. The 9:00 a.m. start is before the 10:00 a.m. open in the tool's own hours footer, and it matches the location page. The tool also still listed Saturday, October 31, at 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., both at $75. The tool's email is geoff@xgolfcommack.com. The location page's email is info@xgolfcommack.com. The phone and the street address match. Call (631) 486-4417 before you drive for a late night or treat $75 as the only weekend rate.

Balls and the built-in tee are supplied. Bring your own clubs if you have them. Rentals exist. The page does not print a rental price. The location page describes a full bar and food sold separately from the bay. It does not print menu prices. It says to stay tuned for winter league info and does not print a winter fee or a start date. The winter leagues guide has that line. Lesson prices on the location page, with PGA professional Chris Hicks at chris@xgolfcommack.com, are $195 for a 90-minute game evaluation and first lesson, $150 for 45 minutes, $130 for 30 minutes, a game improvement package at $555, and a small-group clinic at $175 for 5 sessions. The page does not say what the $555 package includes. The Huntington guide has the longer lesson and party notes from October 29. The rate table and the fall line were still on the location page on November 1.

The page describes cameras, infrared lasers, impact sensors, and X-Golf software. It does not call the unit TrackMan, Uneekor, Full Swing, or Foresight.

PGA Tour Superstore Commack

The Commack store page, checked November 1, 2026, lists 84 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, NY 11725-3009, and (631) 980-8148. The about text describes indoor practice bays, a golf simulator showroom, and an indoor putting green. It also lists lessons and club fitting. It does not print a bay count, a session price, or the name of the launch monitor.

Store hours on that page are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Those are store hours. The page does not say the bays keep a different schedule. Lessons start at $79.99 for adults. Studio fittings start at $99.99. The page does not say how long those starting prices cover. Call.

The February 3, 2026 list describes six Commack bays with Practice + Play and Trackman. The store page does not repeat that. On October 29, 2026, the practice-bay tool HTML did not include a Commack session price. This page did not reopen that tool. The chain practice-center wording from that day is in the Huntington guide. Call (631) 980-8148 and ask what the booked session includes.

The store's about text names "the public Commack Golf Park" and Stonebridge Golf Links alongside Sunken Meadow. A search on November 1, 2026 did not find an operator page for a Commack Golf Park. It is not a listing here.

A lesson center in Centereach

GOLFTEC Lake Grove lists 2626 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720, (631) 737-1570, near Smith Haven Mall. The page title says Lake Grove. The address says Centereach. There is no Centereach town page in this directory. The mall room is Golf Lounge 18 in Lake Grove, a different business.

Hours on the GOLFTEC page are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The page says the center has 4 climate-controlled bays for coaching. It names coaches Matt Berman, Andrew Goldman, John Kading, and Matt Carpen. It shows a game evaluation at $99, with $150 struck through, and says offer availability and pricing may vary by location. It does not use the word simulator. It does not print an hourly rate for renting a bay to play a round. This directory does not list it as a simulator. Call (631) 737-1570 before you promise the group a virtual 18. The same center is in the lessons guide.

Not a public bucket stop

Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club lists 2000 Raynors Way, Smithtown, NY 11787, and (631) 724-7500. The directions page also prints a GPS address of 1 Redan Drive, Smithtown, NY 11787. Checked November 1, 2026, the homepage, the contact page, the directions page, and the lessons page do not describe a driving range or a public bucket. It is not a listing in this directory. Call (631) 724-7500 if you want to know whether you can hit balls there.

The lessons page does print a rate, with PGA professional Iain Wilson at extension 113 or iain@stonebridgeglcc.com. A 50-minute lesson is $75 for a nonmember and $65 for a member. A lesson series is $375 or $325, described as five 50-minute lessons and one 90-minute playing lesson on the course. Instruction is available 7 days a week. The homepage lists pro shop hours by season and does not call them range hours. The PGA Tour Superstore about text names Stonebridge as a course. It does not call it a range.

What to book

For a published outdoor bucket, Sunken Meadow is the page with a ball count and a dollar figure, and it says the range runs all year, weather permitting. Smithtown Landing is the town range with an irons label and a $7 token, and the driver question is a phone call. Wind Watch is the Hauppauge practice facility with grass and artificial turf on the about page, and the bucket price is a phone call.

For a screen, Pickle N Par is the $50 bay in Nesconset, with weekday hours to 10:00 p.m. on the visit section. The Experience is the Hauppauge room at $55 or $65, and Monday's hours do not match the Monday discount. Golf Lounge 18 is the Smith Haven Mall bay, and the two rate pages do not match. X-Golf is the Commack room that prints a bar, food, and nine bays. On November 1 the booking tool was charging the $75 fall line on Sunday. The Superstore is the Jericho Turnpike practice bay inside a store that closes at 8:00 p.m. The Centereach address is a lesson center, and the page does not sell a public hourly round.

The heated outdoor bays farther from this corridor are in the heated driving range guide. Topgolf Holtsville is the directory's heated Toptracer range south of Lake Grove. This page did not reopen that site.

A fitting at Smithtown Landing, X-Golf, the Superstore, or GOLFTEC is separate from a bucket or a bay. If the numbers say the clubs should go, GlobalGolf's club page is the trade-in and club shop linked from this site. Some of the links in that shop are affiliate links. If you buy through them, LISwing may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Read the affiliate disclosure. GlobalGolf sells clubs. It does not book these ranges or these bays. Outdoor days that need rain gear are on the gear page. LISwing's GolfNow link is not live, so this page does not add one.

Published hourly rates for rooms outside this corridor are in the simulator pricing guide. A simulator at home is a different purchase. Ceiling height and the component prices we could verify are in the home simulator setup guide. How a fact gets onto a venue page is in how LISwing checks a venue.
